A Broadway veteran currently starring in Chess, Tveit originated the role of Christian in the stage musical Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, earning him the 2020 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical and a Grammy Award nomination. His other roles include originating roles in Next to Normal and Catch Me If You Can, as well as the title role in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Hairspray, Wicked, and John Wilkes Booth in Assassins at the Menier Chocolate Factory. As well as stage roles, he is known for the film adaptation of Les Misérables as Enjolras, Danny Zuko in Fox’s Grease: Live, and his many television roles, including BrainDead, Gossip Girl, Graceland, and Schmigadoon.
