Indianapolis experiences all four seasons, giving visitors a dynamic Midwestern climate throughout the year. Summers are typically warm and sometimes humid, with average highs in the mid-80s°F (around 29°C), while winters can be cold, with temperatures ranging from the mid-20s to mid-30s°F (-4 to 2°C) and occasional snowfall. Spring and fall are especially pleasant, featuring mild temperatures, blooming flowers, and colorful foliage, with averages generally between 50–70°F (10–21°C).

While weather can vary, downtown Indianapolis is designed for comfort and convenience year-round: the extensive indoor skywalk system connects major hotels, the Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, and key attractions, allowing visitors to move through the heart of the city without stepping outside—rain, shine, heat, or snow.
