Broad Ripple Village

Located six miles north of the heart of downtown Indy, this quintessentially Indy neighborhood seems to say “Welcome!” with every local business. Broad Ripple, along with its sister cultural district, SoBro (“South Broad Ripple”), is teeming with local culture and civic pride. Positioned alongside Indy’s main waterway, the White River, the neighborhood is nestled between the Monon Trail and the northern portion of the Indiana Central Canal. For more than 180 years, Broad Ripple Village has celebrated local eateries, galleries, and attractions and is now home to over 17,000 residents.

How to Get There

  • Driving: Approximately 20 minutes via car from downtown Indy via College Avenue

  • The Red Line: Indy's first bus rapid transit line with electric buses, platform boarding, and high-frequency stops, journeys from downtown Indy through the heart of Broad Ripple. 

  • The Monon Trail: This 26-mile walking, running, and cycling trail connects Mass Ave to Broad Ripple, stretching all the way through Carmel. Multiple access points with scenic views can be found in Broad Ripple.
