The Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration has been empowering the community for the past 48 years with ten days of events ranging from job fairs to concerts to educational opportunities.

Imported ImageThis year there will be three concerts (two of which are free for the community and my favorite way to wind down from a week of learning and information). First up, the Music Heritage Festival I featuring artists After 7, Loose Ends, and Stephanie Mills will be held on Friday, July 20 at American Legion Mall. Then, on Saturday, July 21, the community is invited to New Jack Swing Concert with Al B. Sure, Christopher Williams and Big Bub at the Indiana Convention Center from 2 to 3:45 pm. And finally, IBE Music Heritage Festival II rounds out the concert series with Brandy, Blackstreet, and Frankie Beverly and Maze starting at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Tickets start at $50.

Even with this amazing line up, concerts are only a small portion of Summer Celebration. Make sure you mark your calendar with the full event line-up here.
