Indiana Fever

The WNBA’s Indiana Fever were founded in the league’s inaugural season in 2000. The Fever’s legacy took shape in 2001 with the draft of Basketball Hall of Fame legend Tamika Catchings.

Indianapolis' WNBA Team

The team quickly became playoff mainstays culminating in a WNBA championship in 2012 under coach Lin Dunn and a team featuring Catchings, Katie Douglas, and Tully Bevilaqua. Today, the Fever are building a new generation of talent under coach Stephanie White.

After drafting Aliyah Boston from South Carolina with the first pick in the 2023 WNBA draft, the Fever drafted the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, Caitlin Clark, in 2024. In her first year, Time Magazine's Athlete of the Year set rookie records for points, assists, and three pointers while leading the Fever to the playoffs. Beyond Boston and Clark, the Fever feature an exciting lineup of talented players in Kelsey Mitchell, Lexi Hull, Sophia Cunningham, and more. The spectacular Morris Bicentennial Plaza on the north side of the arena ifeatures a basketball court during the summer and an ice-skating rink during the winter. Public art and community programming make this space an iconic addition to this already spectacular facility. Before Fever games, fans are invited for a pre-game fun on the plaza.

Parking

There are plenty of parking options in downtown Indianapolis, all within walking distance of Gainbridge Fieldhouse. For the closest covered parking, the Virginia Avenue Parking Garage sits at the building’s northeast corner and connects to the Fieldhouse via a covered sky bridge on the third floor. The garage entrance is on Maryland Street.
