Get ready, hockey fans. The Indy Fuel will return for another campaign this weekend. 

The Fuel are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks and the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs. Indy’s professional hockey team comes off the heels of the first Kelly Cup Playoff berth in franchise history. The Fuel will celebrate their fifth ECHL season this year. 

The new season begins this Friday, October 12 against the Fort Wayne Komets. That game will also serve as the home opener, as it is one of 36 games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Indy returns with a 72-game schedule, which will span from October to April.

The Fuel will be at their busiest during the weekends in the 2018-19 season. Fifty-eight games fall on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. All weekday home games at Indiana Farmers Coliseum will start with puck drops of 7:05 pm ET, while Friday and Saturday night home games are set for 7:35 pm starts. Sunday afternoon contests will start at 3:05 pm. 

Indy’s team will host an Education Day game for children in Central Indiana. It will take place at 10:30 am on Tuesday, February 19 against the Wichita Thunder.
