No Monsters in Berlin
A young refugee and teacher struggle to escape the horrors of the woman’s past. This short portrays the lingering effects of immigration in a sweet love story. This short film features amazing actors and so much heart.
Refugee
This was my personal favorite, but be sure to bring the tissues! Refugee tells the story of a mother immigrating to America but separated from her children in Africa. It is honest, shocking, raw, and incredibly moving. This is a must see!
Dr. Diaz
In this short, a studying doctor from Columbia uses his skills to assist those in need around him while working as an activist against foreign mining in Columbia. This short shows gorgeous on-location filming of Columbia and an unforgettable lead character. Dr. Diaz is my new favorite guy hero, with almost superhuman talents within a real, normal person.
Halim
A mysterious refugee shows the joy of imagination to a young boy through miming. They overcome language and cultural barriers to become unlikely friends. Halim is an absolutely beautiful short, with a captivating and touching story you won’t forget.
