Free outdoor concerts in Indianapolis can be found nearly every week during the spring and summer months. It’s almost time again for the Indiana History Center’s Concerts on the Canal Series. Every Thursday beginning May 26 and running through July 28, catch a great, free outdoor concert from 6 to 8 pm. Free seating is available on the grassy area of the Canal Walk and bonus, admission hours to the Indiana History Center are extended to 8 pm. P.S. Admission is free on those Thursdays, too.


Happy Hour on Georgia Street

Beginning May 5 and running through September 4, every Thursday night from 4:30 to 7 pm, you can enjoy Happy Hour on Georgia Street. Not only can you get great deals on drinks from local restaurants, you can also enjoy free concerts from various artists each week! Greenwood Amphitheater

May 22 through September 18, you’ll find a number of fantastic concerts at the Greenwood Amphitheater, just south of Indianapolis. From country to band music to 80s cover hits, you’ll find a fantastic line up so you can mark your calendar here.


3rd Friday Music

You may have heard of First Fridays, but have you heard of Third Friday Music? A regular celebration of artists in the Fountain Square district gives you the opportunity to monthly mark your calendar for free fun May 20 through December 16.


Indy Parks Summer Concert Series

Love beautiful music and beautiful flowers? Garfield Park offers a number of free concerts in its gardens, as well as Eagle Creek, Holliday, Ellenberger, and Broad Ripple Park. Check out the Indy Parks Concert lineup here.


Sails at the Eiteljorg Museum

 Come relax under the Sails and listen to local musicians, pan for gold, create poetry and write with sidewalk chalk on the museum porch – all for free on Wednesday evenings on the Canal from June 2 to August 3. The Eiteljorg also offers extended hours on Wednesdays, staying open till 8 pm.
