The Indianapolis Indians are the professional Triple-A baseball club affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, and has been in continuous operation since 1902. The Indians play their home games at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis, a 14,200-seat ballpark that has received numerous national accolades as one of the best minor league stadiums in the United States. Opened in 1996, more than 12 million fans have visited the ballpark, second-most among 160 minor league teams. The venue is located just west of the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium.
Ticket prices run from $9-$16. The Indians baseball season runs from April through September.
The Indians have enjoyed five straight winning seasons and advanced to Game 5 of the Governor's Cup Finals in 2015. The Tribe also were IL West Division champs in 2013 and 2014 and finished atop the division in 2015.
The mission of the organization is to provide Indians baseball at Victory Field as affordable and memorable family fun.
In the franchises over 100-year history, some of baseball all-time greats have made their way through Indy, including MLB Hall-of-Famers Harmon Killebrew, Al Lopez, Randy Johnson, 1960-61 AL MVP Rogers Maris, and a wealth of current stars such as 2013 National League MVP Andrew McCutchen.
