Overview
Why did Indiana create a judicial rather than an executive branch agency to hear tax disputes, and why does our state’s tax court have a national reputation as the gold standard for independent tax courts?
Join us for an engaging discussion with all three judges who have led the Indiana Tax Court as they come together for the first time ever to talk about the extraordinary history of the Indiana Tax Court – one of Indiana’s three highest courts.
Hear from inaugural judge Thomas G. Fisher, senior judge Martha Blood Wentworth, and current judge Justin L. McAdam about significant changes that occurred during their tenures, how they believe the tax court contributes to Indiana’s business-friendly reputation, and whether the tax court benefits all Hoosiers – even those who don’t challenge their tax bills.
This program is free and open to the public. A ticketed reception will follow. Attorneys wishing to receive CLE credit must register and pay the CLE fee, which includes the cost of the reception, through the Indiana State Bar Association.
Presented in partnership with the Indiana State Bar Association and KSM CPAs & Advisors
