Overview
FLAVA FRESH ! is an annual juried exhibition series of contemporary fine art held consecutively in multiple prominent gallery venues around Indianapolis. FLAVA FRESH ! serves as a platform to cultivate, incubate, develop, and facilitate innovative artistic creativity. Created over 24 years ago as an initiative to bring greater awareness, appreciation, and exposure to visual artists. FLAVA FRESH ! supports beginner, newly discovered, early-to-mid career, and established creatives with a focus on underrepresented artists. FLAVA FRESH ! artists utilize all manner of discipline and media to create compelling and thought-provoking artwork. This multicultural, multigenerational platform has received numerous awards, including the esteemed “Indiana Governor’s Arts Award” in 2023 and the prestigious Arts Council of Indianapolis, 2019 “ARTI, A Full Creative Life for All Award.” A number of FLAVA FRESH ! Alumni have garnered national and international recognition.
