Omari Souza is a designer, researcher, writer, and cultural strategist whose work explores the intersections of design, storytelling, identity, and community engagement. As the founder of State of Black Design, he creates space for dialogue and visibility within Black creative communities through research, programming, and cultural initiatives. His practice focuses on restorative storytelling, ethical cultural research, and using design as a tool for collective memory, cultural preservation, and meaningful community impact.
