Get ready to glide into the winter months at the brand new Elevance Health Rink at Bicentennial Unity Plaza. There is finally an ice-skating rink nestled in the heart of downtown Indy! The recently opened Bicentennial Unity Plaza, right next to Gainbridge Fieldhouse that is currently is a public space showcasing art with a basketball court, will become an NHL-sized ice-skating rink during the winter months.

The rink operates on a timed ticket system, giving each guest 90 minutes to experience the winter wonderland while skating on ice! Admission into rink is $11.00 Sunday-Thursday, and $13.00 on Fridays and Saturdays. It is $4.00 to rent a pair of skates. Tickets can be secured in advance at this link, or tickets can be purchased in-person based on availability.

If you want to reserve the rink for friends, family, and coworkers you can reserve your private rental for Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Food and drink is available for purchase from concessions. Beer and wine is available.

The best place to park for your ice-skating excursion is the Virginia Avenue Parking Garage located at 155 Delaware St.; there is even a skywalk connecting Gainbridge Fieldhouse and this parking garage. It is a maximum of $7 to park in this garage.

After you showcase your skills on ice, here are some restaurants, and places to warm up that are within close walking distance: Pearl Street Pizzeria & Pub, Prime 47, The Hulman, Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, Taxman CityWay, Agave and Rye, Sauce on the Side, The District Tap, Kilroy’s Bar & Grill, The Old Spaghetti Factory and Brothers Bar & Grill.
