Tasty news! One restaurateur and three Indy chefs we’re named James Beard Award semifinalists this morning.
Major congratulations are in order to these talented individuals for making Indy’s culinary scene shine:
- Outstanding Restaurateur: Martha Hoover, Patachou Inc. (Café Patachou, Petite Chou Bistro, Napolese, Public Greens and Crispy Bird)
- Rising Star Chef of the Year, Alan Sternberg, former executive chef at Cerulean, now founder of pop-up dinner series Common House
- Best Chefs: Great Lakes: Abbi Merriss, Bluebeard
- Best Chefs: Great Lakes: Steve Oakley, Oakleys Bistro
These four Indy stars are in the running to win a 2018 James Beard Foundation Award. Finalists will be annouced in March, and the winners will be annouced at the James Beard Foundation Awards Gala in May.
