2. Madam Walker Legacy Center

3. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Park & Landmark for Peace Memorial
Designed by Greg Perry and created in 1996 with sculptor Daniel Edwards, this artwork reflects Robert F. Kennedy’s call for justice, nonviolence, and reconciliation. The sculpture depicts Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reaching toward one another across a wide, but not insurmountable, divide.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park is currently undergoing a $6.8 million expansion project that will add a new plaza, walkways, landscaping, and enhancements to the existing Landmark for Peace monument. Stay up to date on the project’s construction on the Kennedy King website here.
