INDIANAPOLIS, IN (January 8, 2020) – The 2022 Indy College Football Playoff host committee announces its full slate of officers and board members.
The Board is comprised of officers (chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer, president) and at-large directors. Division co-chairs will lead planning for four key planning divisions: Administration, Community Engagement, Legacy Impact and Event Execution. Board members representing key constituents and partner organizations will complete the board.
This board will oversee and act in an advisory capacity to the Host Committee that will plan and execute the event.

The Indy College Football Playoff Staff includes:
Susan Baughman is the President of the 2022 Indy College Football Playoff, leading the planning and execution of the event. Previously Baughman served as Senior Vice President of Events and Strategy for Indiana Sports Corp leading long-term planning and event bids strategy and execution. In her 21 years at Indiana Sports Corp, Baughman served as Executive Director for the 2010 and 2015 NCAA Men’s Final Four, and was the Senior Vice President of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee, as well as directing multiple conference and NCAA championships.
Chris Panyard serves as Senior Director of Operations for the event. Employed by Indiana Sports Corp since 2013, Panyard most recently served as Events Director, planning and coordinating operations for many events such as NCAA and Big Ten Conference championships, as well as the Indy Ultimate urban adventure race. Prior, Panyard worked for 500 Festival and 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee.
Chelsea Wilson serves as Project Coordinator for the event. Wilson served as Assistant Event Coordinator for the Indiana Convention Center and in the box office for Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Her experience also includes working for NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship operations. Wilson served as 2019 Outback Bowl Sideline Coordinator, worked with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 3 game operations staff as well as volunteered for Big Ten Football Championship in the area of game production.
Select members of the board and staff will travel to New Orleans this Friday to research and observe fan activation areas, convention center and stadium set-up, media day festivities, and details surrounding the CFP Foundation’s legacy project, which includes an entertaining and educational summit for teachers, a 5k Run/Walk, and a culinary fundraiser. The committee will also observe operations while attending the 7 p.m. CST National Championship Game inside Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday, January 13.
“We appreciate the opportunity for the representatives on the host committee who are directly responsible for executing this event to observe, participate and learn, well in advance of hosting the event in Indy,” said Howell. “We have a long history of successful execution of such events because we are continuously learning. We will gather information in New Orleans, which will better inform our decisions, and allow us to respond to the growth of the CFP in the best possible way.”
