Sweets for Your Sweetie at Garfield Park Conservatory

It's just not Valentine's Day without chocolate. The annual Sweets for Your Sweetie event at Garfield Park Conservatory features treats from the tropics, including a variety of chocolates, candies, and coffees. There are two sessions to choose from, and tickets are just $10. 

Dirty Dancing: Culinary Cult Classics at Thunderbird

This year, spend Valentine’s Day at Thunderbird, which will present the 1987 flick Dirty Dancing. Although this event requires a reservation, the $50 per person meal includes six mouth-watering courses. You'll have the time of your life. 

Valentine's Day Sweetheart Dinner at the Propylaeum

Looking to have a romantic dinner for two? Look no further. The Propylaem offers three different packages, all of which include champagne. Be sure to reserve a spot at this exclusive event, especially since Harpist Elizabeth O'Meara Ahlgrim will be serenading you.  

Valentine's Day Getaway at Ironworks Hotel

Valentine's Day with Three Carrots

This year, Three Carrots is holding its annual Valentine's Day dinner at its new Fountain Square location. The multi-course vegetarian meal includes sake poached tofu, butter-seared parsnip scallops, and a dessert that's sure to be divine. The 6 pm seating is sold out, but there are still spots available for the 8 pm seating.

Romeo and Juliet at the Indianapolis Repertory Theatre

It was Shakespeare who wrote, "All the world's a stage." And on Valentine's Day, the IRT will perform Romeo and Juliet on the Upperstage. For $60, you and a loved one can watch the show, receive two drinks of your choice, and dine on treats from DeBrand Fine Chocolates.

Romantic Songs with Michael Cavanaugh at Hilbert Circle Theatre

Made famous for his piano and lead vocals in the Broadway musical Movin' Out, Michael Cavanaugh returns to Indianapolis for a special, one-night-only concert. To celebrate Valentine's Day, he'll be performing only the most romantic and classic love songs.

Grab your running buddy! This Feb. 10 fun run begins and ends at the Athenaeum, with a course that loops around Mass Ave. All race participants will receive a medal and a fuzzy fleece blanket. Better yet? Barefoot Wine will be pouring samples, and the Rathskeller will be providing hot chocolate. 

Local Love at Homespun: Modern Handmade

Spread the local love! From 1 to 4 pm on Feb. 11, swing by Homespun for an afternoon of Valentine's Day prep. Onyx Exchange will be on-site, conducting a candle maker pop-up bar. You can grab a bouquet from Willow and Star Flowers, too.

Galentine's Day at Tappers Arcade Bar

Grab your gal pals and head to Tappers – this Feb. 13 event is all about the ladies. The barcade is teaming up with some of the most fabulous women in Indiana's craft beer, cider, and mead scene. There will be an all-female-curated draft list, and all proceeds from a silent auction will benefit Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis.

Valentine's Day Hot Class Heart Class at GRT Hot Glass Studios

Not into candlelit dinners? Not to worry. GRT Hot Glass Studios is offering several classes on Valentine's Day. The two-hour class explores glass glowing, and everyone has the opportunity to create a heart-shaped paperweight. Awww. 

Prairie Pursuits: American Heritage Chocolate at Conner Prairie

Conner PrairieHappy Valentine's Day at Conner Prairie

This love-filled event is perfect for preschoolers. Connect one-on-one with your little ones as they make valentines and decorate heart-shaped cookies. The $11-event will be held from 9:30 to 11 am on both Feb. 8 and Feb. 9.

Valentine's Family Craft Day at Garfield Park Arts Center

Celebrate the season of love with your entire family. For just $2 per person, create any number of Valentine's Day cards and crafts. Be sure to reserve a spot for this afternoon event, which also includes some tasty treats.

Valentine’s Cabaret at Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio 

Take your smallest sweethearts to a fun-filled marionette show at Peewinkle’s, a 65-seat puppet theater located in the Indiana State Museum. The show runs Feb. 10 through Feb. 13, and the $13 ticket price includes a sweet treat. There also will be a post-show workshop, which your little ones can attend for an additional $3. 

Big Band Valentine's Concert at Theatre at the Fort

Jazz up your Valentine's Day plans and head to Theater at the Fort. The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra – which preserves and advances the history of the big band – will be performing. Don't forget your dancing shoes, either; there will be swing dancing! Tickets for this all-ages event start at $13. 

All Ages Valentine's Jazz Jam at Square Cat Vinyl

This free-to-attend jazz jam is the only all-ages one in Circle City. So, grab the kids and get them to Square Cat Vinyl, where they'll meet Mark Ortwein, Chase Blackburn, and other local jazz favorites. The music starts at 7 pm, and doesn't stop until 10 pm.
