Located just minutes from downtown, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis features five floors of fun and interactive learning that have the power to transform the lives of children and families across the arts, world cultures, sciences, and humanities. The museum also offers a massive outdoor sports complex that is open seasonally.

Tiana's Joyful Celebration

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and Walt Disney Imagineering are thrilled to bring the next chapter of Princess Tiana's story to life at the world's biggest and best children's museum before this one-of-a-kind exhibit travels to other museums across the country!

Explore the art, food, dance, music, and collaborative spirit of New Orleans alongside Princess Tiana. Use your own "special spice" to help her finish preparations for the Mardi Gras parade and create a joyful celebration!

Help Princess Tiana host a parade in her childhood neighborhood:

Decorate parade floats
Visit Eudora’s dress shop and design parade costumes
Cook up a pot of Tiana’s daddy’s gumbo
Rehearse with the spasm band
Join Tiana for a special performance and magical moment courtesy of Mama Odie

Deep down we all want to be heroes. Ignite a passion for changing the world around you through the powerful stories of four extraordinary 20th-century children—Anne Frank, Ruby Bridges, Ryan White, and Malala Yousafzai. Recommended for ages 8+.

Now You’re in Their World: Venture into the immersive world of dinosaurs in the newest recreation of the Dinsophere, taking you back through Giants of the Jurassic™, Creatures of the Cretaceous™, Monsters of the Mesozoic Seas™.

Treasures of the Earth

Are you brave enough to uncover the mystery of an Egyptian tomb? Find out at Treasures of the Earth, featuring three recreations: the tomb of pharaoh Seti I, the burial site of China’s Terra Cotta Warriors, and the shipwreck of Captain William Kidd.

Beyond Spaceship Earth

Do you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Find out in this immersive exhibit! Families can discover the lives of astronauts while they’re in space, see astronaut artifacts, and learn space-travel history.

Playscape

Playscape® is a gallery for young children—infants through the preschool years—and their families to learn and play together, providing fun, hands-on opportunities to learn through the method that is most successful for them—play!

Fireworks of Glass

Curlicues of colorful glass burst forth from the Lower Level, rising 43 feet through the museum core in one of largest permanent installations by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. Fireworks of Glass comprises more than 3,200 handblown pieces of glass, with another 1,600 pieces on the “floating” glass ceiling. No matter the angle or what level you’re on, the piece makes for a breathtaking photo backdrop.

Carousel Wishes and Dreams

Step inside the ultimate toybox—the perfect place for the whole family to play together! Bring your imagination and a sense of adventure and get ready for a fun-filled ride in Carousel Wishes and Dreams.

What to Know:

Advance tickets are encouraged for all visitors, including members and donors, and a General Admission ticket gives you access to the entire campus. Admission is $19.50-$40, prices vary daily.

Children ages 2 and under are free. Combine and save on Indy’s top attractions with a 1-day or 3-day Indy Attraction Pass. Attendees under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and be sure to wear play-ready shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
