Overview
Re-Wilding Indiana, a local wildlife rescue and rehabilitation nonprofit, invites the public to its Turtle Tea Party.
The ticketed event coincides with World Turtle Day and offers families an up-close look at Indiana’s turtle species through the organization’s ambassador turtles: resident turtles that assist with public education because they cannot be returned to the wild.
Attendees can enjoy tea and light snacks, build their own flower bouquet, take photos with turtles, and participate in family-friendly activities. The event concludes with a live turtle release back into the wild.
All proceeds directly support Re-Wilding Indiana’s work. The organization receives numerous injured turtles each year, and ticket sales help fund the care needed to return turtles and other wildlife to the wild.
No park entrance fee; Eagle’s Hideaway is located outside the main gates on the west side of the park.
Re-Wilding Indiana is a nonprofit wildlife rehabilitation organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing native Indiana wildlife.
