Overview
One night. Some veteran comedians. And a row of Indiana elected officials seated under two ferns (well, two ears of corn). And the flattest, driest, most gloriously awkward interview this state has ever imagined putting on public access.
Between Two Corns is a one-night civic comedy event presented by VentureVets in partnership with Pattern, Inc., built to spotlight the veteran and military-connected comedians, musicians, artists, and entrepreneurs who are quietly making Indiana sharper and funnier than it gets credit for.
Here is how the night runs. A Comedy Platoon opens the show with veteran stand-ups Chris Cline and John McCombs delivering material drawn from real life, civilian reentry, building a business, and the very specific experience of doing all of that in Indiana. A veteran musical guest band shows off its chops. Then comes the main event, a deadpan sit-down segment where Indiana policymakers answer the questions no press conference would allow, with confirmed guests including Senator Scott Baldwin, Westfield Mayor Scott Willis, and Senator Kyle Walker as the interviewer.
