Overview
Since 1996, the Spirit & Place Festival has invited artists, scholars, congregations, and everyday changemakers to share what they love with our community.
The result? Dance performances, interfaith conversations, film screenings, family adventures, and moments of unexpected joy.
But Spirit & Place is more than a series of events. It’s a civic ritual — a shared pause in our busy lives that invites imagination, reflection, and connection. Rituals help us make meaning together. They remind us that community doesn’t just happen. It’s practiced.
What makes the Festival unique is that the community creates it. Each year, 80–100 partners design and host events exploring an annual theme through the arts, humanities, and religion. Our role is to walk alongside them offering coaching, tools, workshops, and one-on-one support to help shape meaningful, doable experiences.
