“The mission of Men In The Fire is to share the message of Gospel and Christian music with people around the world.”
For more than 25 years, Men In The Fire have lifted their voices in praise, sharing an uplifting sound rooted in spirituals, quartet traditions, contemporary gospel, and jazz. They have performed in cities including Newport News, Miami, Memphis, New Orleans, Detroit, Louisville, and Los Angeles, while continuing to bless audiences at home in Indianapolis.
The group serves wherever GOD leads—performing at churches, shelters, corporate events, concerts, and community gatherings. Their music features intricate harmonies and a wide-ranging repertoire, from timeless hymns to urban contemporary gospel, acappella or with full-band accompaniment.
Men In The Fire’s music ministry features vocalists Alex “Jerry” Bingham, Brian “Tony” Bingham, James “Joon” Walker, and Michael “Big Mike” Woodson, with Phyllis Walker Riding as Musical Director. MITF Band is Ponch Benton, Guitar, Dwight Kopis, Sax, Tom Padgett, Guitar, Carmen Sherrod, Bass, Rodney Stepp, Keys, Keith Strong, drums
They are proud to celebrate nine years of Home For The Holidays, their annual holiday tradition at The Jazz Kitchen. Men In The Fire invites you to enjoy the music—and let it take you a little higher!
