Overview
Chicken & Beer Festival – Indianapolis returns to downtown this fall for its 6th consecutive celebration, continuing its evolution as one of the Midwest’s most impactful and community-driven food festivals.
Since launching in 2021, the festival has intentionally activated some of downtown’s most iconic public spaces—including the former Pan Am Pavilion, Monument Circle, and Monon30—now calling University Park home for the third consecutive year as part of its ongoing commitment to enhancing and reimagining public spaces in the urban core.
Founded by EatHere®, the festival has grown from a grassroots idea into a high-energy culinary experience drawing thousands annually—while staying committed to a mission rooted in equity, accessibility, and supporting local food and beverage entrepreneurs.
A New Ticketing Model Built for Access
In 2026, the festival introduces a simplified, more inclusive structure—eliminating traditional VIP and GA tiers in favor of two options:
- Free Entry Ticket – Open access to the festival from 12 PM – 6 PM (does not include tastings; attendees can purchase food and drinks directly from vendors at any time)
- Tasting Ticket – Includes 5 food samples + 4 drink samples during the 12 PM – 3 PM sampling window
After the tasting window, all vendors will continue selling directly to attendees.
This shift reflects the festival’s continued focus on affordability and access—removing barriers for guests while still delivering a high-quality tasting experience. Unlike many festivals that charge for entry and food separately, Chicken & Beer Festival is designed to meet attendees where they are.
