Overview
July 4, 2026, marks the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence's signing. To celebrate, the Indiana Wind Symphony will host an early party featuring the concert American Tapestry, showcasing some of our nation's finest band composers. This historic milestone offers a moment to pause, reflect on our nation's journey, honor the contributions of all Americans, and envision the future we aspire to create for future generations.
Kelleen Strutz will be the featured soloist, performing Concerto in F by the American composer George Gershwin. Additionally, this concert will acknowledge the recipient of the James Calvert Outstanding Music Educator Award for 2026.
