Overview

Space meets sports here at the museum! All‑Star Shoot for the Stars—a three-day celebration of basketball and space exploration. It’s the ultimate mashup of space and sports!

All-Star Shoot for the Stars is included with museum admission.

Here’s the starting lineup...

Indoors:

  • Meet Artemis II astronaut Victor J. Glover, Jr.—one of four astronauts selected to fly on the first return mission to the Moon in more than 50 years—Saturday, July 19, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. only.
  • Discover new frontiers in Out of this World Engineering—space-themed, hands-on programming in Corteva Agriscience STEMLab (10:30 and 11:15 a.m., 1:45, 3, and 3:45 p.m. daily).
  • In NASA’s traveling exhibit, you can:
    • Take a selfie with Nrom NASA
    • “Try” on an astronaut suit, “explore” a Mars Habitat, or “work” on the International Space Station with virtual reality demonstrations
    • Experience the Orion Spaceflight Simulator and learn about upcoming Artemis missions
    • Be among the first to see NASA’s new Evolution of the Spacesuit, highlighting three historic spacesuits and a prototype spacesuit for future missions

Outdoors:

  • Learn skills and drills from 10-time WNBA All-Star Tamika Catchings in a basketball clinic in our Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever Basketball Experience Thursday, July 17, at 2:30 pm only.
  • Play basketball-themed games and activities in our outdoor sports wonderland, including our 17 “my size” basketball hoops.
  • Explore different sports and get moving with Marvella Sports and their Marvella Mobile traveling sports experience.
