A Space for Us – A Groundbreaking Cultural Experience Empowering Indianapolis Youth
Overview
We invite you to experience and cover an extraordinary cultural event that promises to uplift, inspire, and unite the Indianapolis community.
"A Space for Us" is a visionary fashion and arts production produced by F.A.M.E. Foundation Inc., held in proud partnership with Indiana Black Expo and supported by the Herbert Simon Family Foundation. This dynamic showcase will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 5:30 PM in the 500 Ballroom of the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
More than just a fashion show, A Space for Us is an immersive celebration of fashion, music, dance, visual arts, storytelling, and community. This event is intentionally curated to provide a safe and creative space for youth and families to witness the brilliance of local and national talent.
Featuring:
- A runway showcase of MELI's latest high-end athleisure collection
- Original choreography by top local dancers
- Live performances by musicians, vocalists, and spoken word artists
- Visual art and photography exhibits by emerging and established creators
With youth violence and crime rates on the rise in our city, A Space for Us is more than an event. It is a movement. We believe in offering young people a safe place to dream, create, and thrive. Parents, educators, and community leaders are strongly encouraged to bring youth who are interested in fashion, modeling, performing arts, design, media, and more.
Expected attendees include a diverse audience of families, creatives, cultural influencers, students, educators, community changemakers, athletes, business professionals, and corporate executives. This is a remarkable opportunity to spotlight Indianapolis' rising talent and amplify the power of creative expression as a force for good.
