Overview
Designed in the 1820’s when the first settlers built on the banks of the White River, this beautiful promenade, lined with evergreens and views of the river, is a half-mile paved walkway with 1,272 massive blocks made from Indiana limestone. This is the same limestone used in the building of the Biltmore Estate, The Empire State Building, and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Located across the Old Washington Street Bridge and upriver from Bison Plaza, its location creates endless ideas for imagination.
