Kan-Kan is Indianapolis’s only locally grown, independent, not-for-profit arthouse cinema and bar, now featuring The Final Cut, a pizza-by-the-slice shop from King Dough. Located in Windsor Park just northeast of downtown, Kan-Kan serves as a neighborhood gathering place for film lovers, food lovers, and community seekers alike.
Operated by Indianapolis Film Project, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Kan-Kan’s mission is to exhibit high-quality films that entertain, educate, and inspire conversation across diverse audiences.
Our programming spans from bold independent releases to beloved classics, documentaries, comedies, and work from local filmmakers. With thoughtfully curated series and special events, there’s always something new to discover.
Kan-Kan features three theaters with a total of 225 seats, all equipped with stadium-style seating, Dolby Digital sound, and full ADA accessibility. The venue also offers two rentable event spaces, making it an ideal destination for private screenings and gatherings.
