🎶 It’s been a long time coming 🎶 In case you didn’t know, the one and only iconic pop sensation super-star Taylor Swift is coming to the Circle City! As a huge Swiftie myself, I’m screaming and crying over the fact that my idol and I will be breathing the same air in just a few short months. The day we announced she was coming to Indy just so happened to be my first social post ever for Visit Indy. What a full circle moment.
For my fellow Swifities, whether you have a ticket or not for the Eras Tour, I can assure you that the Circle City will be filled with many activities and events you can partake in during her concert weekend. Here are 13 Taylor Swift-coded spots that will give you The Best Day in Indy.
Baby’s
Baby, let the games begin! One of my personal favorite places to see a drag show, Baby’s is a Gorgeous, glittering and sparkle-filled restaurant that serves exceptional burgers and shakes. The restaurant creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for all walks of life. Anyone that walks into this restaurant can attest that the environment is fun and family-friendly.
Monument Circle
Remember when Taylor circled Travis Kelce on the map? Well, geographically, we have another circle in Indy known as Monument Circle. During her the Eras Tour Weekend, Spark on the Circle will offer free friendship-making bracelets, so get ready to trade and make new Indy-themed bracelets. Spark on the Circle is ongoing activation we have in the city where the community can enjoy free and fun games, listen to live music, admire local art and much more.
Ash & Elm Cider
I’ll never forget her iconic introduction in her Eras Tour Film: We’re about to go on a little adventure together. That adventure is going to span 17 years of music. Indeed, 17 years of music will be highlighted in Ash & Elm’s Eras Cider Box! This box will offer 13 special ciders all centered around her different eras. Ash & Elm Cider has been nationally recognized as one of the 10 best ciders in the country by USA Today 10 Best. If you remember her single Christmas Tree Farm, the cider would flow.
Gather 22
I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22! Gather 22, located downtown, is known for being a coffee spot, a place to enjoy delicious cocktails, or a place to savor for lunch or dinner. Visit the best gathering place in the Circle City and feel inspired.
Francis & Fern Boutique
Make the whole place shimmer with permanent bracelets and a charm bar at Francis & Fern Boutique. This adorable boutique is a must visit during your time in Indy and it’s hard to miss on Mass Ave. The whole retail space is decked out in pink and sells the cutest Taylor Swift products. I gifted myself this roman empire mug and it makes my heart happy every time I drink out of it. Give yourself or a fellow Swiftie the perfect gift from this boutique!
Rick’s Café Boatyard
Wear your best blue dress on a boat at Rick’s Café Boatyard. Located on the water at Eagle Creek Reservoir, you can enjoy the wonderful lakeside ambiance with inside and outside dining and lounge facilities. They are best known for their fresh seafood, live jazz music on the weekends, Sunday brunch, and hosting a remarkable wedding rehearsal dinner space (speaking as someone who had her wedding rehearsal in this wonderful space ☺).
Salt on Mass
Enjoy 🎶salt air🎶 at Salt on Mass. I would argue that this spot is the best place to go to for seafood in the city. This upscale, casual restaurant focuses on fresh seafood, steaks, and elaborate cocktails. I would strongly recommend ordering the Salt Sunset to complete your overall August vibe.
Dugout Bar
Dive bar on the East (South) Side of downtown Indy is Dugout Bar. Established in 1954, this bar has been voted as Indiana’s #1 Dive Bar. I like to describe the atmosphere of this bar as very laid back and casual, with a stellar outdoor patio.
RH Indianapolis
Nice to meet you, where you been? RH Indianapolis, The Gallery at DeHann Estate. This newly opened estate, that looks very similar to the house in the music video Blank Space, is 151 acres and has an impressive showroom with luxury home furnishings and décor. Not only can you shop and admire the fancy furniture, you can dine at the Lakeside Restaurant and Wine Bar, overlooking a breathtaking 35-acre private lake, formal garden, and forest landscapes.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis
Did you know the world’s largest Children’s Museum has Taylor Swift’s dress on display?! In 2009, our mother wore this asymmetrical polka-dot number during Dancing with the Stars. The dress is certainly giving early 2000’s.
The Vault Indy
As Taylor once said, “I keep these longings locked in lowercase inside [The] Vault.” The Vault is a hidden gem in Indy and a must-see speakeasy. The name alludes to some of the country’s most notorious bank robbers. When you visit this speakeasy, you first have to enter a four-digit password on the vault door. What happens in the vault, stays in the vault (unless you’re Taylor and are doing re-records).
The Cake Bake Shop
If you act like it’s your birthday every day, then you’ll be obsessed with Cake Bake. This is the destination for cake, coffee, wine, and Instagramable pictures. The French-inspired shop is filled with pink and glitter, and normally is decked out in décor depending on the season. With the Eras Tour being in early November, I anticipate the atmosphere being fall-like filled with pumpkins, crisp leaves, and pops of red and orange colors.
Black Dog Books
And finally, for your last stop before you officially leave Indy from the Eras Tour, I couldn’t recommend it enough to stop by the Black Dog Books located in Zionsville. Although we won’t watch anyone walking into some bar called The Black Dog, you’ll be taken away from this adorable and historical book store located in a 1850’s home.
