The Westin Indianapolis is one of 12 hotels connected to the Indiana Convention Center via enclosed skywalk. They have broken ground on a three-phase, $43 million renovation – the most significant since its opening in 1989. From leisure travelers to meeting delegates, this renovation will enhance the visitor experience.
Phase One
In phase one, the lobby, public spaces, meeting space, guest elevators, and food and beverage stations will be renovated. This phase will undoubtedly enhance the visitor experience. As guests step through the doors, the first thing they’ll notice is the rebuilt entryway. After checking in, they will make their way to the modernized elevators. After freshening up in their rooms, they can make their way to the new Ten Hands Social Bar & Eatery for respite and networking. The following morning, they can enjoy a quick bite and elevated coffee experience at The Marketplace.
Guests visiting The Westin for meetings will experience the refreshed meeting facilities equipped with new lighting, carpeting, doors, furniture, and airwalls separating the Council and Chamber (combined 1,800 square feet) meeting rooms from the Caucus and Cabinet (combined 1,750 square feet) rooms.
Phase Two and Three
Phase two will focus on the second level and meeting space. The current restaurant on the second level will be converted into a sleek club lounge. This phase includes the addition of The Capitol Overlook, equipped with 3,518 square feet of flexible meeting space on the second floor, which will showcase floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Indiana State Capitol. For groups looking to entertain their top clients, the new Rec Room will include full-service food and beverage, gaming tables (shuffle board, foosball, air hockey, and cards) that easily convert for meeting use, arcade stations, and TV lounge area equipped with a projection screen and whiteboard.
Phase three will include enhancements to the guest rooms and hotel corridors.
