The Stutz
The Stutz is one of Indy’s most iconic landmarks, where industrial history fuels modern creativity. Once a pioneering automobile factory, this expansive campus has been reimagined as a hub for innovation, design, and culture. Today, The Stutz blends legacy and forward thinking, offering a unique look at how Indy honors its past while building what’s next.
Built for Speed. Reimagined for Art.
About the District
From Yesterday to Today
Built in the early 1900s, The Stutz was once home to the Stutz Motor Car Company, a name that helped put Indy on the map in the early days of the American auto industry. After years of industrial use, the buildings were thoughtfully preserved and reimagined, giving new life to a historic Indy landmark.
Today, The Stutz is a lively campus filled with creative studios, growing businesses, and cultural spaces. Many of the original features remain, from exposed brick to large industrial windows, giving the space a character that feels both historic and current.
