Overview
Veterans Day in Indianapolis is observed with an evening reception/awards ceremony, a Veterans Day Service, and a Parade. The Veterans Day Council's charge has not changed since it was organized in the 1960s: to appropriately recognize the Veterans of Indiana so that their deeds and sacrifices will not be forgotten.

- November 9 - Reception & Awards Ceremony

6 pm, Awards Ceremony

- November 11 - Veterans Day Service
11 am
Special guest speakers, wreath laying, and flyover performed by the Indiana National Guard. The ceremony will recognize the veterans of Indiana so they will not be forgotten.
- November 11 - Veterans Day Parade
Noon
Parade step-off starts at Michigan and Pennsylvania Streets. The route is south on Pennsylvania, west on New York, then north on Meridian. The route is based around the Legion Mall and Indiana War Memorial.
