Overview
The Ice Rink at Holliday Park is the city’s only outdoor rink open all winter. The beloved Northside Indianapolis winter tradition, with nature as skaters’ backdrop, offers something for everyone, including family and date night fun, skating lessons, hockey, curling, and special seasonal events.
There’s a lot of winter fun going on at The Ice Rink at Holliday Park this year, and we’d love for you to cover it. Here are some key highlights for this season:
- Open: The rink is open daily throughout the entire season, with its only closure on Christmas Day.
- Learn to Skate and Hockey Lessons: Classes for all ages and skill levels will be offered by Winter Club of Indianapolis and tailored to accommodate a variety of ages and skill levels. Free, drop-in hockey lessons will also be conducted by Our Hockey House on Thursday evenings, starting in January.
- New Curling League: The only outdoor CCA Sports Curling League in Indianapolis. Beginning in January, teams can join a fun, recreational 4-on-4 league held weekly.
- Special Events: Black Friday Opening Day, Winter Solstice Skate with Santa, Valentine’s Day Skate, Winter Olympics Watch Parties, and more.
