Overview
Tad Armstrong has deep roots in the Indiana music scene as a longtime member of Middletown and The Haters. His latest project finds him paying tribute to one of his heroes with, The True One, an album of covers by legendary songwriter Gene Clark. The former Byrds frontman and cosmic folk pioneer left behind a catalog of deeply personal, spiritually searching songs, and Armstrong brings his own powerful voice and Americana sensibilities to this material. He’ll celebrate the album’s release on April 10, 2026 at Turntable, joined by longtime friends and collaborators for what promises to be a special night honoring Clark’s enduring legacy.
