Since 2011, the Big Ten Football Championship has taken place in Lucas Oil Stadium in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. In fact, Indy is the only city to host this prestigious championship. This year marks the first time the #1 and #2 teams in the country meet in Lucas Oil Stadium. It also marks the Hoosiers first appearance in the Big Ten Championship.
In Indy, it is always more than a game. There is a robust lineup of events throughout the weekend to engage and entertain the thousands of fans converging on the city. Take advantage of all the opportunities to soak in the revelry and maximize your Big Ten Football Championship experience.

Enjoy interactive games, entertainment - including special guest appearances and mascots - performances by participating team bands, giveaways, food and beverages, and much more. Aspiring athletes can sign up on site to enjoy complimentary youth flag football clinics hosted by USA Football. Admission to Big Ten Fan Fest is complimentary with every game ticket. Fans without game tickets can purchase Fan Fest passes at Ticketmaster. Children ages 2 and under are free. Individuals with a Military ID will gain complimentary access.
Indy's own Ale Emporium is sponsoring the first-ever World Famous Hermanaki® Wing Eating Contest, debuting at Big Ten Fan Fest presented by Dr. Pepper. The top Major League Eating athletes in the world converge on Indianapolis, including:
Joey Chestnut, #1-ranked eater in the world, Westfield, Ind. resident
Miki Sudo, #5-ranked eater in the world and #1-ranked female eater in the world
Nick Wehry, #6-ranked eater in the world
The eating contest is open to anyone attending the Big Ten Fan Fest.
No weekend in Indiana is complete without basketball. Before the Big Ten Championship, the action tips at Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the #22 Indiana Hoosiers and #6 Louisville Cardinals heat up a regional rivalry. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS, so whether you're in a seat at the Fieldhouse or onc of the city's sports bars, it's going to be epic day for IU fans.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a ticket for the big game, but you can still be in the heart of the action. Buckeye fans won’t want to miss a special performance by The Ohio State University Marching Band. Enjoy the iconic sounds of TBDBITL and join thousands of other Buckeyes to fill the room with scarlet and gray pride. Doors open at 4:15 p.m.. Ballroom is standing room only.

2025 Discover® Big Ten Football Championship Game Traffic Information
Fans attending the 2025 Discover® Big Ten Football Championship Game should be advised of ongoing downtown Indianapolis construction and street closures impacting routes to Lucas Oil Stadium.
South Capitol Avenue is currently inaccessible to vehicular traffic from West Maryland Street. South Street just north of Lucas Oil Stadium will close at 6:00 a.m. ET on game day and will remain closed until after the game ends and traffic is restored to normal flow.
All main gates to Lucas Oil Stadium will open at 6:00 p.m. ET on game day. Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early and to plan their travel accordingly. Additional transportation and parking information can be found below.
ADA Drop-Off Detour
Fans requiring ADA drop-off on game day should follow the detour instructions below:
From McCarty Street, proceed to Illinois Street.
Turn north on Illinois Street and continue to South Street.
Inform the officers at South & Illinois Streets that you are providing an ADA passenger drop off. They will allow you through the restriction.
Continue west on South Street to Capitol Avenue.
Turn south on Capitol Avenue and proceed to the ADA Drop-Off location.
South Lot Parking
A parking pass is required to access the South Lot at Lucas Oil Stadium and will open at 8:00 a.m. ET on game day. To access the South Lot:
1. From McCarty Street, proceed to Illinois Street. 2. Turn north on Illinois Street and continue to Merrill Street. 3. Proceed west on Merrill Street to Capitol Avenue. 4. Turn south on Capitol Avenue and enter Gate 7 or Gate 8 for access to the South Lot.

Pedestrian Traffic
Lucas Oil Stadium is walkable from several downtown Indianapolis hotel properties and establishments with an expansive network of climate-controlled skywalks. Although Capitol Avenue will be inaccessible to vehicular traffic the foot path will still be open leading to South Street. An interactive map of the skywalks can be found here. Volunteers and signage will be positioned in the city center on game day to assist with wayfinding and to support pedestrian movement.
Ride Share
Please utilize Northbound Illinois Street as pick-up/drop-off location for Ride Share. To request a ride, guests must exit the stadium and walk towards Illinois Street to ensure a smooth pick-up. Guests will be unable to request a ride until they are outside of the geofenced perimeter.
