Overview
The Rosamunde Quartet makes its Indianapolis debut in this co-presentation with Ensemble Music Society. The quartet consists of 2022 IVCI Jury Member Noah Bendix-Balgley (First Concertmaster, Berlin Philharmonic), violinist Shanshan Yao (Kammerakademie Potsdam), violist Teng Li (Principal, Chicago Symphony Orchestra) and cellist/Indy native Nathan Vickery (New York Philharmonic).
The quartet presents a captivating recital featuring Beethoven’s first string quartet, Mendelssohn’s last, and the “Lyric” quartet by George Walker, the first African-American to win the Pulitzer Prize in Music.
