Overview
Indianapolis rapper Mark Battles began his rise to fame with Broken Silence (with ) and his 2015 release Numb, which hit Billboard’s charts at number 39 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums.
A year later, Mark hit Billboard again with Before the Deal, which landed at number 15 on the Billboard charts.
Battles’ mainstream success began in 2017, after his Day 2 collaboration project with Tory Lanez. In 2019, Mark turned down four consecutive record deals from the "Majors" in order to remain independent and bring his own label, Vasi, to the forefront of hip hop.
