Celebrate a quarter-century of swing as the Directors’ Jazz Orchestra (DJO) marks its milestone 25th anniversary! Since 2001, under the steadfast leadership of Chris Taylor, this unique ensemble of dedicated music educators has evolved from a local festival group into one of Central Indiana’s most powerhouse big bands. Having shared the stage with titans like Delfeayo Marsalis and Wycliffe Gordon, and boasting five prestigious appearances at the IMEA Conference, the DJO brings a level of technical mastery and infectious joy that only a band of teachers can deliver. From the elegance of the Fountain Square Ballroom to the high-energy stages of jazz festivals, join us for a silver anniversary performance that honors twenty-five years of tradition, mentorship, and world-class brass.
