Overview
The Wit Theater is located just south of downtown Indianapolis, approximately five miles from Monument Circle. Located on
Shelby Street directly across the street from the University of Indianapolis, the 85-seat capacity theater serves as an entertainment and training venues for organizations all across Indianapolis and throughout the state of Indiana. The Wit Theater has onsite parking for fifty (50) vehicles and has ample parking for tour buses, vans, and large vehicles.The Wit offers entertainment in the form of improv comedy, stand-up comedy, humorous keynote speaking, character actors, event talent, and so much more! Home to ComedySportz Indianapolis, the longest-running comedy show in Indianapolis, the comedy is clean and clever, focused on making entertainment that everyone can enjoy. There are performances for 17+ audiences in the later evening hours.
The on-site catering and food partner is LaRocca's Pizza. They specialize in delicous pizza, baked sandwiches, desserts, and much more. They are located in the theater venue and are open for lunch service Tuesday-Saturday and dinner service Friday-Saturday.
The venue offers two different spaces for usage:
- The Wit Main Stage: 85 seat capacity, table seated theater with raised stage, audio capabilities, video capabilities, microphone access
- The Half Wit Training Room: 40 seat capacity, tables as requested, smaller space for breakout meetings and classroom training.
