Overview
The Coffee Haus is a family-owned coffee shop located at Guggman Haus Brewing Co. on the near Northwest side of Indianapolis. It offers indoor and outdoor seating options with a full espresso menu and breakfast food options.
The Coffee Haus is located in the 1916 “Haus” where the brewery team first opened its operations in 2019 on the property of the historic Boyle Racing Headquarters. For two years, from mid 2019 to 2021, the Guggman team brewed in the basement of the Haus and used the main floor as its taproom. Since opening its larger taproom and event space in 2021, the Haus, which sits adjacent to the beer garden, has only been used for private events and special occasions, until now.
“Almost exactly five years ago, we opened this Haus as our taproom where we brewed in the basement for two years before opening our main taproom,” said co-founder and director of marketing, Courtney Guggenberger. “This Haus holds a special place in our hearts and was the foundation for Guggman today. We are beyond excited for the next chapter of the Haus as a place to gather and create community over our other favorite type of brew - coffee!”
The Coffee Haus is serving an assortment of hand-crafted espresso drinks featuring Tinker Coffee, cold brew featuring Julian Coffee Roasters, seasonal Italian sodas and cream sodas, and tea. The signature Haus Latte features haus-made maple brown sugar cinnamon syrup, and Revved Up Root Beer Italian Soda is available for the month of May. Pastries from local bakery Circle City Sweets and scratch-made breakfast burritos are also available.
“The Coffee Haus offers one of the largest outdoor patios in the area, along with a unique indoor setting,” Guggenberger said. “We invite our customers to grab something to go or get a coffee for here and stay awhile. Essentially, you can come for a work meeting and coffee in the morning, and then stay for lunch and afternoon beers in the taproom.”
