Overview
The Velodrome is a world-class bicycle racing oval track, named after a 19th-century world champion cyclist who raced in and around Indianapolis. The Velodrome at the Indy Cycloplex, a cycling-dedicated public park, is managed by neighboring Marian University and hosts many regional and national competitions each year from April-September, as well as training sessions, clinics, and open ride sessions. The grounds at the IndyCycloplex are also home to a cyclocross course and a national-caliber BMX track, which will have a full schedule of events in 2013.
