Indy South Greenwood Airport is the closest, most convenient, general aviation airport to downtown Indianapolis, located on I-65 at exit 101. Just 15 minutes from cockpit to the Circle.
Interstate access is less than 2 miles away and leads right to downtown, a short, 15-minute drive. Offering a 5,100-foot runway, 3-acre ramp, 11,000-sq.-ft. heated hangar, on-site courtesy and rental cars, and a modern terminal, we are ready to exceed your expectations. We offer full-service and self-serve Jet A and 100LL - with one of the most competitively priced Jet A prices in the Indianapolis area, in addition to full-service Jet A offers volume discounts. We are also a CAA Preferred FBO and offer World Fuel I Colt Contract fuel! Three (3) aircraft maintenance facilities and two (2) flight schools with aircraft rental are located on our airfield to provide aircraft with 24-hour emergency services. Numerous hotels are located within 1 mile of the airport, with an indoor/outdoor shopping mall, numerous brewhouses, and phenomenal restaurants only minutes away. Our Community Center offers travelers daily gym passes.
The airport recently benefited from an extended runway, new fencing, and landscaping. This work will be complemented by rehabilitated taxiways and improved signage. Our recently renovated terminal provides access to a crew lounge, quiet room, showers, vending, and flight planning facilities! The airport also installed a Ground Communications Outlet which allows pilots to contact Air Traffic Control or Flight Service from the aircraft to receive en-route clearances or departure authorizations, weather, and cancel flight plans. In the near future, we will rehabilitate and improve several hangars.
Greenwood is one of Indiana’s fastest-growing cities, with a reputation for hospitality and a great sense of community. If you are staying in the area, there is lots to do and see.
Like shopping! We are best known as south-central Indiana’s retail hub, accommodating every fashion sense and budget. Anchoring the retail scene is Greenwood Park Mall, the state’s second-largest enclosed shopping mall. More shopping centers and boutiques await shoppers along several retail corridors and in Madison Village on Madison Avenue just north of Main Street.
And restaurants! The Greenwood area has a restaurant for every occasion. Fine dining or casual fare, family night out or girls’ night, date night, or late night -- it’s all here. There is a good mix of restaurant names -- some you’d find around the country (like the Cheesecake Factory), and some you’ll find just in Greenwood. We love hand-crafted beer and wine. The Greenwood area is home to four microbreweries and a winery, including one of Indiana’s first microbrewers, MashCraft and the Oaken Barrel Brewing Company.
