Overview
This outdoor venue provides more performance options for artists and fans alike. Both HI-FI and HI-FI Annex will be hosting shows, events and private rentals through the summer. Additionally, there will be occasions where shows are taking place simultaneously in both venues.
This space was created to foster safer performance opportunities, help HI-FI’s business, support local artists through paid performances, provide local retail outlets a space to sell their goods, and give our neighborhood restaurants more business. HI-FI Annex is creating synergy and helping restart the economy in Fountain Square with dollars going to support small businesses and artists in the neighborhood.
Concertgoers will enjoy a number of new enhancements for 2024 including:
- An extended stage roof structure extending into the audience for shade and weather
- protection
- Premium JBL line array sound system flown for more stage visibility
- Popular grab-and-go food options, hot and ready from Easy Rider Diner
- Expanded zero proof and non-alcoholic options for health conscious guests
- New ADA seating area with better stage visibility
Over the course of the last four years, HI-FI Annex has emerged as one of Indy’s mainstay outdoor concert venues hosting major acts like Band of Horses, Future Islands, The Breeders, Shakey Graves, Wynonna Judd, American Football, Circle Jerks, Larry Fleet, Broken Social Scene, Bahamas, The Toadies, Trampled By Turtles, Allen Stone, Houndmouth and many more. 2024 is set to be the busiest, most musically diverse season yet with featured performances from: Atmosphere, Afghan Whigs & The Church, Built To Spill, Nolan Taylor, G-Flip, Amyl & The Sniffers, Pokey LaFarge, Sammy Rae & The Friends and many more to be announced. HI-FI will present shows at both the indoor and outdoor venues and even simultaneously on many nights. Combined, HI-FI will present over 400 shows in Fountain Square in 2024.
HI-FI Annex is open to fans and families of all ages and features experience amenities including a snack shack, two full bars for 21+ guests, and food from Easy Rider Diner.
“Originally created out of necessity, the Annex transformed over the last three years as a catalyst for tourism and visitor traffic to our neighborhood and played a huge role in the growth of the Fountain Square music scene. No one deserves more thanks than the amazing fans that drive the demand for these concerts, and the hard working team that puts them all together,“ said Justin Jones, President Fountain Fletcher District Association.
