Soak up German tradition throughout the city
The world's largest traditional fair, Oktoberfest in Munich runs September 20-October 5, but you don't have to leave the Indy area to celebrate the season

Through September 21 – Oktoberfest at Guggman Haus
Toast the season with German beer releases, pop ups, live music, food, and a stein holding competition. The party takes over the taproom, beer garden, and festhall, with the Coffee Haus also being open for extended hours.
September 19-20 – Harvest Festival at Daniel's Vineyard
It's an entire weekend of fun with live music, dancing, delicious bites from local food trucks, a fall maker's market, and the annual grape stomp.
September 20 – Fall Fest at Big Woods Pizza
Party in the alley next to the restaurant with live music, Quaff ON! brews, Hard Truth cocktails, and of course, Big Woods pizza.
September 20 – Oktoberfest at Moontown Brewing
The 8th annual event features polka music from Indy Polkamotion, German-inspired food, special beer tappings (gold medal winning Oktoberfest Lager, Festbier, Hagedorn German Hazy IPA), a stein holding competition, water balloon toss, and more. This party is 21 and over, but September 21 is the Little Lederhosen family-friendly celebration with hayrides, face painting, and more kid-centric fun.
September 20 – Taxmanniversary Party at Taxman Brewing (Bargersville)
Raise a glass to another year and celebrate with a specialty beer release, delicious food specials, live music, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new mural on the building. This party coincides with Bargersville's annual Harvest Moon Festival.
September 20 – Oktoberfest Party at Upland Brewing
Join a festive afternoon of beer (try the smooth, malty Oktoberfest brew), German food, and a friendly stein holding competition.
September 25 – Oktoberfest at Sun King (Indy)
Enjoy an evening of music from Max Heyob, Oktoberfest lagers (original, maple, coffee, black forest cake), and celebration.
September 27 – Oktoberfest at Bier Brewery (Noblesville)
Get ready for a pretzel eating contest, corgi and dachshund racing, a stein holding competition, live music, face painting, airbrush and caricature artists.
September 27 – Oktoberfest at Big Lug
Get ready for stein holding and pretzel eating contests, wiener dog races, the Oktoberfest 5k run, live music, German food and drinks, a kids play area, games, giveaways, and more.
September 27 – Harvest Festival at Hard Truth
Celebrate with live music, pumpkin painting, tractor rides, a hog roast, vendor market, kids zone, and plenty of exclusive whiskey releases as well as an opportunity to "meet the maker" with Master Distiller Bryan Smith.
September 27 – Barktoberfest at Metazoa Brewing
It's all happening here. Live music, food truck bites, a stein holding contest, wiener dog races, and great beer. The annual Barktoberfest (malty amber lager) and Puppy Slumber Party (peanut butter stout) are ready to drink.

Fall favorite Mystic Ember is on tap. The German-style rauchbier is smoky, smooth, and full of rich notes reminiscent of a campfire. Also get a taste of the season with Adler Oktoberfest, a true German-style Märzen. Coconut Porter is coming soon.

September 20 – Lagers in Lawrence at Fort Ben Cultural Campus
Lederhosen and steins are welcome as Munich comes to Lawrence. Enjoy unlimited pours of more than 150 craft beverages, dance to Indy’s best DJs as well as polka hits, watch the fabulous wiener dog races, and snack on great food. Tickets are $37-$46.
October 4 – Corks in Carmel at Carmel Arts & Design District
Sip, savor, and celebrate the autumn season with unlimited samples of more than 125 craft wines while enjoying live music, browsing local artisans’ booths, and indulging in delicious bites. Tickets are $40.
October 4 – Brewfari at Indianapolis Zoo
Enjoy an adult night out at the zoo! Sample dozens of brews, dance to the music from DJ Lockstar, visit the animals, get a psychic reading, party with Halloween-themed activities, and enter the spooktacular costume contest. Tickets are $35-$60.
October 10 – Autumntidings Fall Festival at Indy Art Center
Enjoy the changing seasons at Ash & Elm Cider Co.'s popular fall seasonal, Autumntide will be available, as well as several other delicious fall-forward Ash & Elm offerings: Fickle Flame, Apple Butter Dreams, Bourbon Barrel Autumntide, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Poached Pear, and Hazy Honeycrisp. In addition try samples from visiting Indiana cideries, breweries, and distilleries. Dance to the live music, grab some food, and shop the vendors at Indy Art Center's Locally Made market, held at the same time as Autumntidings.
