Experience Indy Through a Ted Lasso-Inspired Lens
With season four of Ted Lasso premiering this week, fans have another reason to embrace the optimism, sense of community, and love of soccer that made the series a worldwide phenomenon. While Indy may be thousands of miles from Richmond, our city offers plenty of experiences that capture the contagious spirit of Ted Lasso.
Whether you're a longtime fan of the show or simply looking for a new way to explore the city, here's how to spend a day Ted Lasso-inspired day in the Circle City.
Enjoy High Tea
Start the day with a proper cup of tea at Serliana, located inside the InterContinental Hotel. Afternoon tea has long been an important tradition in British culture, and provides the perfect opportunity to slow down, gather with friends, and enjoy the simple pleasures that are central themes throughout the series.
Afternoon and high tea service is offered every Saturday (with seatings often beginning around 2 PM), featuring loose-leaf teas, house-made scones, finger sandwiches, and pastries.
Head to the Pitch
Next, embrace the world's most popular sport by heading to an Indy Eleven match. Soccer sits at the heart of the Ted Lasso story, and the excitement, camaraderie, and traditions surrounding the local club make it an easy addition to any fan's itinerary.

This month, fans can catch home matches against Hartford Athletic on August 9 and Louisville City FC on August 22.
Grab a Pint
After the match, stop by Chatham Tap to enjoy a pint and soak in the lively atmosphere. Much like the neighborhood pubs featured throughout the series, it's the kind of place where friends gather, conversations flow easily, and everyone feels welcome.

When it's time for dinner, make your way to Red Lion Grog House for a plate of fish and chips. The classic British dish is a fitting way to continue the theme while adding another stop to your Indy adventure.
Take a Stroll

Before wrapping up the day, take a stroll through White River State Park and the Central Canal Walk. While Ted Lasso has the Richmond Green, the 12-acre park in southwest London, Indy offers a 125-acre urban state park filled with open green spaces, walking trails and skyline views. Known as "Indy's backyard," it's easy to imagine Coach Lasso finding a bench along the Canal Walk for a little reflection. As the series reminds us, some of life's most meaningful moments happen when we simply slow down.
You don't have to board a plane bound for England to experience the spirit of Ted Lasso. From afternoon tea to soccer matches and scenic walks, Indy offers plenty of opportunities to create an adventure that would make Coach Lasso proud. And don’t forget to believe in hope and believe in believe.
