8 Ozdust Spots in Indy That Feel Like Emerald City

Get ready for your life to be changed for good. Wicked: Part two is hitting theaters on November 21 and I'm ready to experience the magic of Ozdust and to be Dancing Through Life! To get amped up for the movie premiere, check out these spots throughout Indy that make it feel like you're in Emerald City.

Cake Bake Shop

If there was one place where Glinda would arrive in her bubble, it's the Cake Bake Shop. With two locations in Broad Ripple and Carmel, this adorable, pink cake bake shop is a must-see experience. Every season, the bakery puts up out-of-this world decor. From Halloween to now holiday decor, you will be mesmerized by the atmosphere and won't stop taking pictures. My favorite cake flavor from this bakery is red velvet.

Fountain Room

Elphaba would feel seen at the Fountain Room with all it's greenery, gold walls and decor. Located in Bottleworks District, this stylish, 1902-styled restaurant was ranked as one of America's 50 Most Beautiful Restaurants by OpenTable and People. Their most popular dishes? Their Brie Brûlée and their mouth-watering, world-class steaks.

Hotel Tango Distillery

With it's moody lighting and exposed brick, Hotel Tango Distillery reminds me of the scene when Elphaba finds Doctor Dillamond hidden away in his office and starts singing "Something Bad." This distillery is cozy with their fire place and their cocktails are always serving something smoky and bold, just like Elphaba's personality.

Cultural Trail

Not quite the yellow brick road, but the Cultural Trail will lead you to so many paths throughout the city. Name "the biggest and boldest step by an American city" by Project for Public Spaces, this internationally-acclaimed 10.6-mile biking and walking trail connects all six of Indy's Cultural Districts. From Mass Ave to White River State Park and Fountain Square, the trail is a safe, healthy, and convenient way to explore the city.

Bovaconti

There's a reason why this local coffee shop is popular. With two locations in Fountain Square and Carmel Arts District, this Italian-inspired cafe has a beautiful atmosphere with pops of pink and greenery. Their most popular drink is the honey lavender latte. Not only do people visit this coffee shop for their drinks and vibes, they also partner with local artists to design artwork on their cups.

Bottleworks Hotel

You can easily spend One Short Day at Bottleworks Hotel. This former Coca-Coling bottling plant turned into a luxury boutique hotel opened in 2020. Since it's opening, the hotel has earned a spot as one of the 2025 MICHELIN Key Hotels and was ranked number one by USA Today's 10Best Boutique Hotels. This hotel has a historic charm and is within the Bottleworks District, which is filled with retail spots and a massive food hall, known as the Garage Food Hall.

Tinker Street

Located in the cozy and inviting Herron-Morton Place neighborhood, Tinker Street is a dream for those who eat plant-based, vegetarian, and vegan foods. Even if you have no food restrictions, you'll enjoy all the unique, and full-flavored foods. You'll be singing "What Is This Feeling?", after your taste buds experience their exquisite dishes.

Dusk

The dim lights and hidden speakeasy at Dusk Lounge make the perfect escape for Elphaba as she flies away with her broom and realizes the animals are in danger. Not only will you enjoy their classy, mediterranean dishes, you'll see the dining room come alive with their DJ's playing fun and upbeat music. Once you enjoy your meal, ask your server about being taken to the speakeasy, where you can enjoy more cocktails in their moody and mysterious lounge.
