INDY PRIDE PARADE AND FESTIVAL

The centerpiece of Pride Weekend brings together thousands to recognize LGBTQ+ pride, visibility, inclusion, and community. Saturday's parade starts on Mass Ave and concludes at White River State Park. Celebrate with marching bands, drumlines, DJs, dance troupes, drag performers, community groups, elaborate floats, and abundant positive energy. The parade is free to watch, but if you choose to attend the festival following it, admission is $15. With an exciting lineup of entertainers including Brooke Eden, Indy's own Ciara Myst (fresh off her run on RuPaul's Drag Race), house music legend Crystal Waters, the Ballroom Showcase, and Todrick Hall, this is queer joy at top volume. Visit the Indy Gay Market inside the festival to shop original artwork, jewelry, clothing, candles, prints, home decor, handmade gifts, Pride-themed merch, and one-of-a-kind finds, all made by queer artisans. POST MALONE AND JELLY ROLL

The genre-blending superstars bring their Big Ass Stadium Tour with Carter Faith to Lucas Oil Stadium Friday. The show is guaranteed to be a high energy, emotionally charged production featuring big hits like "Liar," "I Am Not Okay," "Save Me," "I Had Some Help," "Circles," and "Congratulations." Look for the duo to perform their joint track, "Losers," along with a few surprises. Tickets are $66 and up.

INDY PRIDE PRESENTS TASH SULTANA

Australian singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Tash Sultana is a phenomenon. Their performances feel like watching a full band, but it's usually just one person on the stage. Blending rock, soul, reggae, hip-hop, and a little psychedelia, Tash's songs are completely their own. Fans are amazed as they watch songs being built on the spot by looping guitar, percussion, and vocals. Friday's show at Everwise Amphitheater is the official kickoff to Pride Weekend and will hit all the right notes to amplify queer joy. Tickets are $29 and up.

PARTY ON THE PLAZA

Looking for a perfect summer evening in downtown Indy? Morris Bicentennial Plaza hosts this free, family-friendly festival Friday. It's all about community, public art, live music, games (yard pong, cornhole, giant Connect-4), themed drinks, food from the onsite Snack Shack, photo ops, and enjoying the outdoor season.

JUNETEENTH FOODWAYS FESTIVAL

This annual event is a celebration of history, culture, entrepreneurship, and the lasting impact of Black cuisine on America. Visit the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site Friday to learn about Dolly Johnson, the White House chef during Harrison's administration in 1889 who brought Black southern culinary traditions to the national stage. The food, though, is the star of this show. Come hungry as more than 35 food and beverage vendors will be serving their best. New this year, the Dolly Johnson Performance Stage will feature food demos, Braveheart Drumline, and Freetown Village reenactments. General admission is free, but guests can have early access for $20.
