The Countdown is on for The Monumental Marathon

JULY 27, 2022

We are 100 days out from the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, taking place on Saturday, November 5. For those planning to run the marathon, that means training is likely underway (but it’s not too late to start!). The key number this year is 15. The Monumental Marathon is one of the 15 largest marathons in the United States welcoming approximately 15,000 runners to the city for this the 15th running of the event. So grab 15 of your friends (ok, maybe not that many) and sign up for a flat and fun race - or do it solo! This will be my second marathon and my first Monumental Marathon so I’m excited to give the course a go.

Not up for a full marathon? Alternate distances include a half marathon and a 5k trot. The courses are USATF certified and are both fast and flat making it a favorite for first-timers and those looking to qualify for Boston alike. Each route also takes you through some of Indy’s historic neighborhoods providing runners with a scenic city route.

Indy is known for blockbuster events. Be a part of something monumental and register for this year’s race. I’ll see you out there.
