The Chainsmokers and Major Lazer Lead Line Up at 400 Fest

If you're looking for a musical way to kick off your Brickyard 400 weekend, look no further than 400 Fest at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 21 and July 22, starting at 7 pm. Here’s what you need to know:

Things kick off on Friday, July 21, with EDM trio Major Lazer, rapper Mac Miller, and DJ trio Cheat Codes. Gates will open at 5 pm both evenings. Major Lazer is made up of EDM stars Diplo, Jillionaire, and Walshy Fire. The group has collaborated with numerous artists, including Pharrell Williams, No Doubt, and Snoop Lion.

Rapper Mac Miller recently released his fourth album, The Divine Feminine. The Pittsburgh native is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who issued his first mix tape at the age of 15. He is also known as a record producer, although those credits can be found under Larry Fisherman, one of his many pseudonyms.

Cheat Codes is comprised of DJs Trevor Dahl, Kevin Ford, and Matthew Russell. The group formed in 2014 and has collaborated with pop singer Demi Lovato and toured with The Chainsmokers.

On Saturday, July 22, The Chainsmokers, Pretty Lights, and DNCE will perform. The Chainsmokers are Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, a DJ/producer duo who recently won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording. They’ve also won an American Music Award and collaborated with artists including Coldplay and singers/songwriters Daya and Halsey.

Dance-rock band DNCE is Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, JinJoo Lee, and Cole Whittle. Formed in 2015, the group has collaborated with Nicki Minaj and opened for Selena Gomez on her Revival tour. They were named Best New Artist in 2016 at the MTV VMAs.

EDM artist and producer Derek Vincent Smith is perhaps better known by his stage name, Pretty Lights. He describes his sound as electro hip hop soul and has appeared at several music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Forecastle, and Coachella.

Tickets range from $65 for a one-night ticket to $350 for the VIP experience. More information is available by calling the IMS Ticket Office at 1-800-822-4639 or visiting 400 Fest online. Or, test your luck and enter to win our contest for two tickets 400 Fest for both Friday and Saturday.
