The Center for the Performing Arts is a world-class, three-venue performing arts center located in Carmel, Indiana. Its facilities include a state-of-the-art, acoustically superior, 1,600-seat concert hall, the Palladium; a 500-seat proscenium theater, the Tarkington; and the 200-seat black-box Studio Theater.
The Center presents a diverse lineup of local, national and international arts programming, including pop, rock, classical, jazz, choral and Great American Songbook concerts, performances by acclaimed symphonies such as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, a variety of plays and musicals, the best in contemporary dance, intimate cabaret performances, appearances by America's favorite comedians, and a host of other events that enhance the quality of life in Central Indiana and throughout the Midwest.
The Center for the Performing Arts also is home to the Great American Songbook Foundation and several local performing arts organizations: Actors Theatre of Indiana, Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and Indiana Wind Symphony.
